About Me

A Journey in Birth Work

Welcome to Becoming Mama! I'm Carla B. Dorsainville, a Haitian Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, and committed Birth Worker.

Born in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, and rooted in the rich heritage of Haiti, my journey into the world of birth work kicked off at 15 when my mind was blown after witnessing my first birth. From that moment on, I knew I had to be in that room and hustled hard to make it happen.

It began in 2016 with an Associate's in Health Science in Savannah, GA. Then, I deepened my understanding of human development through Psychology studies in New York. That unforgettable moment set me on the path to becoming a DONA Trained Birth Doula in 2019. Fueled by a passion for human development, I founded Becoming Maman LLC to serve communities globally. My mission extends beyond borders, as I know it will lead me back home to Haiti.

Join me on this transformative journey as I empower mamas, one birth at a time.
